De Schwalbe binnenbanden zijn betrouwbaar.
Fietsdetaillisten waarderen hem om zijn hoge betrouwbaarheid.
Iedere band wordt in de fabriek opgepompt en zo 24 uur op luchtdichtheid getest.
De band houdt de luchtdruk langer vast. In de productie vereist Schwalbe een zeer hoog butyl aandeel en een zeer hoge reinheid van het materiaal.
Zo houdt de Schwalbe binnenband de luchtdruk beduidend langer vast dan andere binnenbanden.
Een Schwalbe binnenband is extreem elastisch en past op meerdere bandafmetingen.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
