Met de Big Apple begon in 2001 de trend balloonbike. Comfortabel fietsen zonder kostbare technieken. Het was destijds een revolutionair idee. Vandaag de dag is het een meer ingeburgerde trend en er is dan ook een ruime keuze aan balloonbikes,

#Schwalbe buitenband 28x2.35/ 60-622 Big Apple raceguard reflectie zwart 11100417. Met de Big Apple begon tien jaar geleden de trend balloonbike: comfortabel fietsen zonder kostbare veertechnieken. Luchtkussen banden worden gebruikt als natuurlijke vering. Met ongeveer 2 bar rolt een balloonbike wonderbaarlijk licht en met volledige veerwerking. Een normale band met een breedte van 37 mm moet tot 4 bar keihard opgepompt worden om vergelijkbaar goed te rollen.#Luchtvering direct ingebouwd.
Deze speciale extra brede band hebben we compleet vernieuwd.
Het uitgesproken profiel, gecombineerd met de RaceGuard-anti-leklaag, maakt hem nog geschikter voor alledaags gebruik.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
