Schwalbe buitenband 26x1.35/35-559 Marathon plus SmartGuard Reflectie zwart, BU26135SMPRZ, 11100760. Het meest verkochte model van Schwalbe. De meest lekbestendige luchtband die er is. Naast de geweldige lekbescherming overtuigt hij door veel inwendige waarden: De gepatendeerde 5 mm dikke SmartGuard laag heeft tegenover alle imitatie producten een duidelijk voordeel betreffende de rolweerstand. Ook bij SmartGuard gebruiken we nu een aandeel aan gerecycled rubber uit oude latexproducten. Verdraagt de typische overbelasting door een te lage bandenspanning beduidend langer voordat er scheurtjes ontstaan. De belangrijkste afmetingen zijn voor E-bikes tot 50 km per uur getest en geschikt.#Een lekke band behoort tot het verleden.
De onplatbare band met vernieuwd profiel: de SmartGuard anti-leklaag uit een hoogelastisch, speciaal caoutchouc is bijzonder sterk.
Deze laag biedt ingereden scherpe voorwerpen zoals b.
v.
glasscherven en kleine steentjes een constante weerstand.
Zelfs een ingereden punaise kan deze beschermlaag niet doordringen.
De SmartGuard lekbeschermingslaag heeft vrijwel geen invloed op de rolweerstand.
De Marathon Plus loopt net zo licht als een band zonder lekbescherming!Volledig uitsluiten kan men een lekke band nooit.
Maar tegen de typische veroorzakers van een lekke band zoals glasscherven of scherpe steentjes bent u in ieder geval met de fietsbanden uit de Marathon Plus serie het best beschermd.
Gebruik bij de Marathon Plus beslist een manometer voor het instellen van de bandenspanning.
Door de bijzondere opbouw van de band is een bandenspanningtest met de duimen beslist ontoereikend.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
