De Continental Grand Prix 5000S TR is de nieuwe standaard voor racebanden. Nog sneller en comfortabeler dan zijn voorganger en met een kleinere kans op lekrijden. Geschikt voor hookless velgen en de traditionele haakvelgen. De band is tevens voorzien van de volgende technologieën:

Tubeless Ready: Band kan met binnenband worden gebruikt of tubeless met afdichtmiddel.
Black Chili Compound: Compoundtechnologie met uitstekende balans tussen grip en minimale rolweerstand.
Lazer Grip: Speciaal gelaserd profielgedeelte op de wang van de band zorgt voor extra grip in bochten.
Vectran Breaker: Vederlichte en sterke lekbeschermingslaag van een gesponnen high-tech vezel.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
